We offer two newly renovated light-filled, open plan lofts with twin bed (can be made up as double or two singles), shower ensuite facilities and private open-plan pantry in a detached church conversion. Both loft studios are connected via a hallway and therefore also suitable for a family. Enjoy the charm and calm of the accommodation and location while being close to Rotterdam and other main cities and attractions. Breakfast is included, and free use of Wifi and bicycles. We would love to welcome you to our church conversion, a detached house where we have been living happily for many years. We recently finished an extensive renovation and are excited to now have 2 light, spacious (Each loft is 70 m2 = 750 ft2), comfortable open plan lofts available for leisure and business guests; Loft Yellow and Loft Blue. We call ourselves De Gaanderij Bed and Breakfast. Each loft has its own beautifully furnished shower ensuite and open plan pantry with tea/coffee making facilities, microwave oven and fridge. Loft Blue’s kitchen is supplied with a dishwasher and induction cooktop. There is also a shared washing machine available.
We, your hosts Hans and Margriet, will advise you on the best places to visit if you can bear to leave your comfortable loft. We are always happy to share knowledge of the local area and provide information for your stay. We love meeting new people, but the lofts have their own entrance and offer full privacy if you want your peace during your stay! Do talk to us if you want a late check-out. If we don’t expect arrivals for the night coming we usually can be flexible. Same for check-in; subject to availability we are happy to welcome you early, at no extra cost. We aim to always accommodate our guests’ needs. We would love to make sure you don’t have to worry about breakfast. Let us know if you want us to look after your morning meal! Your choice: Breakfast hamper: We can leave breakfast essentials in the fridge for you to serve yourself. Served: Alternately on some days we can serve a continental breakfast in your loft. Or, if you prefer, you can enjoy a Dutch breakfast, with your hosts, in the family kitchen or weather-permitting, outside in the spacious garden or on the sunny terrace.
Relax and unwind with a book in your comfortable, airy and stylish room. Go for a river-side stroll or use the complimentary bicycles to explore the area the Dutch way. Visit Rotterdam, the second largest city in the Netherlands, known for its bold, modern architecture and many fine museums. Visit the world's largest port, explore the vibrant entertainment options or spend some time in the fantastic city centre, where you can shop until you drop. Travel by waterbus to discover some of the best tourist attractions in and around Rotterdam, such as the famous windmills in Kinderdijk, the historical and charming town of Dordrecht or the Biesbosch National Park. Conveniently located to explore the Netherlands, close to RING Rotteram A15, A16. Rotterdam, Dordrecht and Gouda for all amenities. Train station Rotterdam Lombardijen is a 20 minutes walk. Bus stop 2 minutes walk, There are free station -bikes availably. Please let us know what time you are planning to arrive. We will make sure we are here to personally welcome you, to show you your Loft and give you the key so you can come and go as you please.
