The cottage is situated opposite the forest and the polder with windmills. The distance to the sea is just 5 km, easy to reach with a bike.
Walking trough the garden (with chickens) you reaches the summerhouse. The house has 1 spacious bedroom with a double bed 1.80-2.00, a sink and plenty of light through the large window. There is a bathroom with shower and toilet. You enter the house via the kitchen which is well equipped to cater for all your needs. Including a washing machine. The livingroom exists of two parts. The dining area where up to 4 people can comfortably sit and eat. The lounge area also hosts a comfortable sofa bed for two people. (if you want to use the sofa bed please notify me in advance)
The lounge area is cosily decorated. Outside there is a private terrace with a large garden table and parasol. The house is suitable for all year round habitation. Fitted out with good heating and insulation. For the children there are a trampoline, a swing and a tandem (photo's) and the forest opposite the house, where they can play and enjoy
Since the summer in 2017, I live in Bergen in the North of Holland. I have made a big change in my life... After 33 years of working in the Residentie Orchestra, always making music and teaching children how to play the violin. Now I live in the calm and quiet of Bergen, fully enjoying the cultural life here. Feeling reassured by the unanimously positive reviews, I will be very happy to welcome you. If you are interested in the nature I can take you on a walk (silent?)and show you the most beautiful places.
This summer house is ideally located for a beach holiday, hiking and biking in the beautiful surroundings, visiting Amsterdam, visiting Alkmaar with the cheese market, touring through the north part of Holland and enjoying the tulips fields (only spring), or just to be quite and calm in the beautiful village Bergen. It is a summerhouse which is part of a beautiful villa. It has its own entrance and has no direct neighbours. There is a spacious terrace to enjoy meals and spend time with the family. On the other side of the street starts the forest, so from the house you can walk straight into nature. In a 20min. bike ride through nature you find yourself at one of the most beautiful beaches that Holland has to offer.
