Stranda is characterised by its unique location between deep fjords and majestic mountains. Known in Norway for being a ski touring eldorado, it offers year-round activities in breath-taking nature. Among others, you will find Norway`s powder paradise and Scandinavia's perhaps best ski area, Strandafjellet. During the run down, you enjoy the view of the fjord, a view you will remember for a long time! The ski area is, however, also a destination outside the winter season; the gondola takes you to the spectacular viewpoint at 1062m, with view of the Storfjord, Stranda valley and the town of Stranda. In the restaurant at the top station, you can also enjoy national specialties. If you are eager to go on a hike, you can start right from the gondola. The most adventurous go even further and run down on mountain bikes or paraglide. If you are not too passionate about snow, you can choose from a wide range of other activities. You can go kayaking in the Storfjord, hike to famous peaks such as the Slogen, or take the ferry through the world-famous Geirangerfjord.
