Located on Nedre Strandgate, one of Gamle Stavanger’s most iconic and picturesque streets, Trollstua is surrounded by white-painted wooden cottages, cobblestone alleys, and vibrant gardens. The neighborhood is Norway’s largest concentration of wooden buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, just steps from the harbor and the Stavanger Maritime Museum. Inside, the house combines traditional charm with modern comfort - ideal for couples, solo travelers, small families or anyone seeking a unique and authentic stay. The name Trollstua is inspired by Norwegian folklore and reflects the cozy, fairytale-like atmosphere that defines the home. I’m Mickael – half French, half Norwegian, which might explain why a baguette with salmon is my ideal meal. I’ve always had a deep love for Stavanger’s Old Town, with its history, charm, and timeless atmosphere. That’s why I’m opening the doors of Trollstua – my small, historic home in Gamle Stavanger – to guests from around the world.
