The balcony has tables and seating from which you can enjoy the view and the atmosphere of this beautiful seaside town. Literally in the heart of Akaroa, restaurants, shops, the main wharf and tour operators are just a minute’s walk away. The school, with children's play area, and a cinema, is within easy walking distance as well. Free off-street parking is provided for one car.

Situated in central Akaroa, this apartment is close to Akaroa Lighthouse, Akaroa Museum, and Artisans Gallery. The main wharf is directly across the road, and offers shopping and dolphin tours. Area attractions also include Fishermans Bay Garden. Tourist activities include both dolphin watching and swimming with dolphins, guided kayaking, fishing, hiking, walks and a relaxed village around which you can just stroll and enjoy the views, the people, and the wonderful atmosphere. There’s a good playground if travelling with children close to the very family-friendly beach. A pleasant drive by car to the outer bays of the Peninsula will find some of the best unspoiled beaches in Canterbury. Akaroa boasts a good supermarket, many cafes, and wonderful restaurants. Akaroa harbour offers great walks and hikes, along with boutique shopping, galleries, wineries and the famous Barry Bay cheese factory. Akaroa is 1.5 hours from Christchurch city, and has a regular mini-bus service operating between Christchurch City and the airport.
