The self-serviced apartments are clean on arrival but not serviced for stays shorter than a week so your privacy will not be interrupted. You can't beat watching the sunrises or sunsets from the apartments that boast amazing coastal views. From Beachpoint It is a 150m stroll to the local village shops, licensed restaurant and cafés. A well stocked dairy/ convenience store is a further 5 minute drive. The three main supermarkets are just over the hill in Whakatane ( approx 7 mins drive). We are across the road from the beautiful Ohope Beach which is great for safe swimming, surfing and other watersports. Beachpoint is a great starting point for coastal and bush walks in nearby reserves. The area also offers opportunities for cycling, mountain biking, kayaking and scenic flights. Besides us is a nature reserve/ walkway that is home to the nocturnal Kiwi birds - go for a walk at night to listen to them calling or to see the glow worms. Ohope Beach Golf Links is a 12 minute drive. A local craft market in Ohope operates the first Saturday of the month in winter and first and third Saturdays in summer. The Whakatane Sunday market is also popular with visitors and locals alike.
