HARBOUR VIEW COTTAGE The Cottage takes its name from the street where it is located "Harbour View Terrace". The cottage was built around 1995 re-using parts from the original settlers stable to match the style of the original 1868 historical homestead located at the front. The self-contained building is set in a quiet & sunny position yards away from One Tree Hill Park, Onehunga village and nearby beaches. It has been since 2014 one of the most charming NZ destination highly rated and praised by a thousand of NZ and foreign guests. Close to Auckland Airport and short train distance away from the city centre and ferry terminal it is the ideal first and last Port-O-Call, in & out of NZ. DESCRIPTION The Cottage has - a lounge seating 4 with a double sofa bed, armchair and TV - a mezzanine double bedroom accessible by a steep staircase - a fully equipped kitchenette - a bathroom with shower and laundry facility - a large covered veranda with outdoor dining table and swing sofa - a secured dedicated on-site parking space BEDS LAYOUT: 1 Queen bed + 1 baby cot in mezzanine bedroom (by request), 1 double sofa bed in lounge. Note there is no privacy between sleeping areas. LINEN: Linen is included. However, if the cottage is booked for 2 and guests wish to use a second bed, extra linen fee may apply. PETS are welcome BY REQUEST ONLY and under our Pet Policy conditions. Extra charges also do apply on arrival. Please do NOT assume you can bring your animal before fully accepting these conditions as access may be refused entry without refund. There is also a kennel minutes away from us. SMOKING: NO smoking or vaping inside at all. However, It is permitted outside on designated area (veranda).

The property is located on the historical Hill of Onehunga dominating the Manukau Harbour. It was the location of a British fort during the NZ Maori wars as well as the main City Centre until 1900. The historic village of Onehunga is one of the first urban settlement in New Zealand. Partially rebuilt in early 1920s, it offers a variation of architectures and styles from early colonial ages to Art Deco. Modern Onehunga offers all the necessary amenities from shopping mall (DressMart) and supermarkets to a selection of shops, vintage boutiques, parks (One Tree Hill, Jellicoe Park), beaches, swimming pools, concert venues, sport stadiums, theatre, cycleways, cafés and restaurants. Some of the best NZ seafood restaurants are just 15 minutes walk away. The train station links Onehunga to the CBD, ferry terminal and most parts of the city within 20 minutes.
