"A very special country retreat". That's from one of our reviewers, and we couldn't have said it better.
Leader Valley Cottage is a lovingly restored 1900's cottage nestled within a beautifully established garden, set in the Leader Valley. It is located within the scenic Alpine Pacific Triangle which includes Hanmer Springs, Waipara and Kaikoura.
The cottage has one large bedroom with ensuite, open-plan living and dining room, a cosy sitting room and a fully equipped kitchen, with its own private terrace and BBQ facilities. Surrounded by stunning luscious gardens with an enchanting private courtyard.
The cottage is set in a secluded location 17 km from Cheviot, which has a supermarket, restaurants and cafes. Christchurch Airport is a 1.5 -2 hour drive away.
Perfect for a weekend getaway set in the heart of the Alpine Triangle .. conveniently placing you within an hour of; hot-pools in Hanmer Springs, whale-watching in Kaikoura, ski-ing at Mt Lyford, wineries in Waipara, surfing in Gore Bay or fishing at our local Waiau River.
With so many activities you are spoilt for choice, or you may prefer to appreciate the peace and tranquility our cottage provides. Whatever you choose to do, return to a warm and cosy evening in front of our Bakers Oven fireplace which also gives you the unique opportunity to cook a meal in!
