Our lovely, tranquil garden provides a very safe and quiet setting for our guests. You will have your own private wing on the east end of our home. The room has triple aspect outlook onto the extensive gardens. It catches the all-day sun too. There is a private entrance for you and plenty of space to park. A winding path leads from the carpark through the garden to your homestay studio. You will be two minutes by car from the very English like township of Lincoln. There are restaurants, shops and a supermarket in Lincoln. Many of our guests dine in Lincoln or bring some food home to have either at the dining table in the studio or out in the garden at the picnic table.
Welcome to our Lincoln Country Dream
Our names are David and Jo. We live on a beautiful farm on the outskirts of Christchurch. David is semi-retired and farms beef cattle. His passion is Porsche cars and he is a proud owner of a Porsche 930 turbo. Jo is university lecturer. We have three grandsons, one in Christchurch and two in Canada. We both enjoy gardening and over the years we have developed a lovely garden to surround our home. We have two friendly Labradors.
We enjoy travelling overseas and always stay at country homes set in lovely peaceful surroundings. We have enjoyed having guests staying with us from many countries around the world and also fellow New Zealanders.
We are about 25 minutes from Christchurch International Airport. Favourite places for our guests to visit for the day are Akaroa, which is about a one hour drive and then a day in Christchurch visiting the beautiful Christchurch Botanical Gardens and looking at the progress of the rebuild of city after the earthquakes some years ago. Also several guests continue on to Tekapo, Mount Cook or down to Oamaru. All these places are about a three hour drive from our home. We do hope that you have time to come and stay and enjoy the lovely ambiance of our Lincoln Country Dream accommodation.
