We have a lovely property with gardens and several outdoor livings spaces. There is off street parking and we have security cameras set up around the outside areas for your and our security. The guesthouse has 2 separate lockable rooms with a private bathroom. Room 1 has 1 King size bed and a Sofa. Room 2 has 1 Queen bed. Included facilities are : Fridge and microwave, Rice cooker, Toaster, Electric Jug, Air Fryer/Griller, Electric Fry pan. Tea/Coffee/Milk. There is also a BBQ you can use at the Unit door under cover. You have your own TV in each room and unlimited WIFI. There is an air conditioning unit in the central area which heats or cools all of the units rooms. Gas Hot water. Guests have access to the swimming Pool in summer and access to all outdoor areas. A washing machine is available inside the guest unit. Please note: this apartment is on the same property as our family home.

Our most famous local attraction is the Hobbiton Movie Set where of course all the Hobbiton Village scenes were shot in the Lord Of The Ring trilogy. We also have the highest waterfall in the North Island. There is a one hour walk to the top of the waterfall through native bush on a formed track and stair case, from where there are AMAZING views of the surrounding landscape. We also have a museum (Firth Tower Historical Village) displaying a huge array of Matamata history and how life was during the Maori wars. The museum has a tower that was once used for defence and protection of his family by the original settler of Matamata, Josiah Firth. We have 2 excellent golf courses, a very soothing hot pools complex and a large selection of cafes and restaurants and bars for you to choose from. Enjoy our town. It is pretty nice.
