The cottage is located in a relaxed beachy resort location & floats along at a very slow pace. There are milkbars (general store style) & icecream trucks visiting Stanmore Bay Park regularly. Stanmore Bay is one of about a dozen white sandy beachs on the Hibiscus Coast (Whangaparaoa Peninsula). Neighboring beaches include Orewa, Red Beach, Swann Beach, Manly, Tindalls Beach, Army Bay & Gulf Harbor & Marina. The Coast has two huge supermarkets, Countdown & New World, a movie theatre complex( 4 theatres), skate park, boat ramp & a host of restaurants serving a variety of international dishes. There is a heated pool at the Stanmore Leisure Centre including basketball courts & football fields. The Coast is fully independent of all medical services including "Urgent" doctors & pharmacies & St Johns Ambulance service.
