This beautiful, private, serene, light and airy 2-bedroom apartment is positioned in a quiet boating community. The front door is 10m from the banks of the Weiti River, 200m up from Karepiro Bay, across the water from Okura Bush, yet only 2 km from the nearest beach at Arkles Bay and 3 km from a shopping precinct. We built the house in 2019 and we are very proud of its beauty, but also of its sustainability. it is well sealed with insulation and double glazing, we use solar power, tank and borehole water and are fully into recycling and repurposing. The apartment offers all the mod cons; TV with Netflix, a microwave, oven and hob, rangehood, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer, bathroom extractor fan, HRV, aircon, house alarm, smoke alarm and a deck outside with garden furniture and a hammock from which to admire the incredible view and the passing parade - and around the corner, a private outside spa pool ( on request) and hot/cold shower in a beautiful tropical garden. This lovely neighborhood with its friendly neighbors and chatty boaties is exactly as it was originally named - a Fair Haven - a quiet port in the storm of life...and although it is a centrally situated as a starting point for lots of excursions and adventures, for many people it is a peaceful destination in and of itself. Speak to us about kayaks to explore the estuary and the bay, swim in the clear, warm summer waters of the river right outside your door. Perhaps swim or kayak over to Okura to see the nesting grounds of the rare NZ Fairy Terns on the Cheniers or catch a fish for dinner under the big Macrocarpa tree on the spit or at the fishing jetty 100m up the road. A movie and a pizza at the cinema or a game of pool or 10 pin bowling may be more your style.
