Was a lovely stay ..but had issues with the hot water

The Wine Shed has the class and finesse of a perfectly put together hotel suite rather than a BnB. Beautifully curated, immaculately clean, and very comfortable, this retreat exactly matched our design and style taste. The layout is just right...

Great location close to town and a number of great restaurants. The property itself is rustic, warm and very comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely bright open space. The house stayed cool even on a boiling hot day - would love to visit again in winter when we can get the fire cranking. So close to the town centre but feels far away which was just what we wanted.

Fabulous quiet location amidst the vineyards and a short walk to town in one direction and wineries in the other. Very spacious, clean and comfortable with fabulous decor and quality fittings and furnishings. We will be back!

Warm and comfortable. Everything you need for a home away from home. Fire a bonus on a cold wet day.

Great place, close to town and wineries. Heaps of space to chill. Fireplace was lovely and made the whole place toastie. We arranged to have bikes dropped off for touring around the wineries.

Company information

Taylor's Property Management was established in 2017 based in Martinborough. We manage a number of houses in the South Wairarapa, New Zealand and can accommodate all sorts of events. E.g. We have accommodated up to 150 people for a wedding. We proud ourselves in making your experience with us the best, message us to tailor your booking to your needs. If you’re feeling more adventurous, bike to the wineries or wander into town for superb coffee, restaurants, and local shops. Relax, indulge, enjoy. Martinborough needs no introduction. Colonial charm meets hipster cafes meets top class restaurants and some of the best wines in the world. Fancy a Pinot Noir? Ata Rangi is nearby. Prefer a natural wine? Just cross the road to let Lance Redgwell pour you some of New Zealand’s best at Cambridge Road. Then have dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants on offer less than 5 minutes walk away. If you fancy a drive, go south to the coast: go fishing or walking where Lake Ferry meets the sea, or visit the gorgeous village of Ngawi. Drive north, go shopping in Greytown, swimming in the Ruamahanga, take in some art at Aratoi in Masterton or try your hand at mini-golf. The Wine Shed is bliss. Take a weekend. Or a whole week. You won’t regret it. PLEASE NOTE: BOOKINGS FOR STAYS BEFORE 24 JANUARY 2026 WILL BE FOR THE WINE SHED ONLY (Maximum 6 guests in two bedrooms) AND WILL NOT INCLUDE ACCESS TO THE LODGE.

Property information

Our home is made up of two buildings. The first building, The Wine Shed, contains two generous bedrooms (one en-suite), furnished with comfortable queen-sized Ecosa mattresses. A mezzanine level with sofa-bed provides a flexible space, usable as a kidzone or for a third queen-sized sofa-bed. The living, dining and kitchen area is huge and a wood burner provides atmospheric heat for a cosy night in. The second building, The Lodge, is an architecturally designed self-contained minor dwelling, finished to the highest spec. It was completed in December 2025 and is ready for guests from 24 January 2026. It contains a further two double bedrooms, two microcement bathrooms, and a gorgeous birch-ply living area with kitchenette. Polished concrete floors and the finest fixtures make this a truly luxury home. The two buildings are separate but immediately adjacent. The arrangement is perfect for two families, for a group of friends, of for a single family with grown up children. Outside is a working vineyard, first planted in the late 1980s and still producing top-class Cabernet. Sit and have your coffee on the terraces in the morning sun, fire up the Weber barbecue for an alfresco meal, or have sundowners in the vines as the sun sets. PLEASE NOTE: BOOKINGS FOR STAYS BEFORE 24 JANUARY 2026 WILL BE FOR THE WINE SHED ONLY (Maximum 6 guests in two bedrooms) AND WILL NOT INCLUDE ACCESS TO THE LODGE.
