Whare manu is a private, self contained boutique cottage, set back into native bush with views of the sea and beach, which is only a minutes stroll away.
Watch the Tui's and Bellbirds feed on the sculpted bird feeder right on the deck.
Designed for couples to relax, unwind and enjoy.
Whare manu is the home of the Omaui land care environmental trust, Southland people working hard to restore native flora and fauna. This is a unique and special place.
The space
Whare manu features luxurious side by side outdoor baths on the deck and a large tiled shower featuring horizontal jets.
Work by local award winning artists is featured in the cottage, these works are for sale.
A fully equipped nespresso machine ensures you have morning coffee without leaving the cottage.

The emphasis is on privacy for guests. However John is available by request to provide local knowledge & talk about the art works or general help.
Omaui is a seaside village of aprox 30 houses, there are beach and bush walks right there. The main activity is relaxation, chilling out. There are no shops, cafes or bars here. The nearest town is Bluff which is 15 minutes drive away and Invercargill is 25 minutes drive.
Omaui is off the beaten track but also close to town. A hidden gem...
