Located on one of the few beaches of Raiatea, The Beach House is a cozy little wooden cottage that will make you feel at home. It has everything you need to be happy as a couple, and it's perfect for couples who want the privacy of a private accommodation. You'll be treated to stunning sunsets over the ocean, Bora Bora, and Taha'a. You can swim and snorkel in front of the reef or paddle with the 2 kayaks to the Motu Miri Miri. For those who love the mountains, the path to Mount Temehani is not far away. The place is peaceful, and no roosters will wake you up! If you wish, the host can show you the way to a private river on the mountain side where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. We have horses, cats and a dog but any rooster !! Internet connection will work properly with 3G on your personal phone with mobile data, but there is no ADSL in the accommodation due to poor quality of the neighborhood's internet connection on the west coast of Raiatea.
The host is the manager of an organic farm located in the valley behind the accommodation, which produces fruits and vegetables for restaurants and stores on the island, as well as in Bora Bora and Tahiti. If you want to learn more about agroecology and permaculture, don't hesitate to ask ! A nature enthusiast and a marine biologist by training, he can also provide information on the lagoon, coral reefs, and marine life.
Close to the trailhead to Mount Temehani for hikers, close to Fish and Blue (the only bar-restaurant open late for party-goers on Fridays and Saturdays) and Raiatea Lodge (a very good restaurant), a few meters from Koko Crêpes (a snack bar by the sea) and 10 km from the excellent Fare Vai Nui restaurant, this place is ideally located for sunset drinks by the water! The environment is calm, healthy, and unpolluted, with very few dwellings - a small piece of paradise still preserved from mass tourism.
