Alan & I love to travel and stay in homes around the world so that we can feel like we are actually living wherever we are for a moment in time. We like going to the grocery store, meeting the locals and not having housekeeping knocking on your door. We live by the motto, "choose happiness" and we became enamored by the idea of owning our own vacation rental property to host other people like us, we made it happen! That's why we bought a house in Rincón, Puerto Rico, where Alan's mother and grandmother were born. He only had early childhood memories from Rincón but after we went to visit more recently, we just couldn't stay away. Rincón, the ‘town of beautiful sunsets’ is also known for its record-breaking waves, relaxed culture, lush environment, friendly inhabitants, and delicious food. The Beach Pad is conveniently located in the middle of Puntas, just steps to Sandy and Pools Beach. Next door is the popular Kahuna Burger Bar. They have great burgers and it is a popular spot to go for a drink at night. Tamboo Bar and Grill is just down the street, right before Sandy Beach, and has beautiful ocean front dining. Go for a swim and sushi at Pool Bar Sushi! Located a block away and is a must visit, they have an outdoor dining area and bar around a pool with a large screen where old surfer films are typically shown. There is also a mini-mart, boutique shops, restaurants, a coffee and smoothie shack - and this is just within walking distance! Go for a drive and explore downtown Rincón. Every Thursday there is an Art Walk in the town square and every Sunday is the Farmers Market. There is plenty to see and do around Rincón, like a trip to the beautiful Gozalandia waterfalls and hiking area, not to mention all the beautiful beaches.
