Casas da Villa - Sobreiro, Adufe, Colmeia e Monsanto are located 350 meters from Monsanto Castle. All units offer free WiFi, have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a living room with a sofa, a well-equipped kitchenette with a dining area, and a private bathroom with shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. A microwave, a refrigerator and a cooktop are also featured, as well as a kettle, toaster and a coffee machine. Some units feature a terrace. The River Beach of Pego, approximately 13 km away, lacking some infrastructures that characterize a river beach, is compensated by the excellent quality of the water and by a landscape as imposing as the rocks that sustain it. Some call it a natural pool, some call it a river beach. However, the denomination matters little when we come across a small waterfall between the 'mountains' next to the Fossil Route of Penha Garcia. The Fossil Route Pedestrian Path (PR3/3KM), which takes us through one of the most impressive geomonuments of the Naturtejo Geopark and through the center of this village, deserves a stop at the Frágua Bar gallery. Despite being small and almost only known by its locals, Pego is a place that, because of all its surroundings, is worth discovering.
