I'm Leonor and I'm responsible for "Furadouro Surf Camp" a set of independent apartments in Praia do Furadouro (Ovar city) dedicated to the tourist accommodation, for those who travel for leisure or work, as a couple, with family or in groups. We have 3 buildings: Furadouro Surf Camp (Apartments), Furadouro Surf Camp (Studios) and Furadouro Surf Camp (House). All our spaces are rented whole, there are no shared spaces. My husband João, is passionate about nature and sports, is responsible for our Surf School "RedAnimal Surf Shop & School", since 2001 (it is one of the oldest schools in Portugal, registration number 13). We have surf & sup school, surf shop and surf rentals.
Furadouro it´s a quiet beach able to offer you a wide range of options. It´s perfect for sports; ideal to have some rest on its white sand and the right place to witness red hot sunsets while you tasting fresh fish brought by fishermen minutes before. It is part of the city of Ovar, known for its architecture based on portuguese tiles; by majestic Carnival parties and its delicious traditional sweet – sponge cake (Pão-de-ló de Ovar). It´s an extraordinarily well located place with easy access, only 40 mins away from Oporto Airport (Francisco Sá Carneiro) – it operates low cost flights! It has more than 10 Km´s of beach that counts on 5 great spots for surfing with no crowd, nothing but you, the waves and a few seagulls around. In less than 2 km´s you´ll be surprised by a river where you be able to Stand Up Paddle (SUP) or just walk or jogging along its shore.
