Holiday home with panoramic views of Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo craters. The advantage of our house compared to living in hotel rooms for the same price is the triple-sized living area, a tropical garden with green lawn and barbecue, a fully equipped kitchen, a parking space for cars next to the front door and the unique singing of Azores birds in the morning. The large meadow in front of the house and the quiet location in a rural setting as well as the view of the craters of Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo made you think and dream. The wonderfully located large apartment is a stone house with approx. 60 square meters of living space. The newly renovated holiday home is lovingly furnished and suitable for 2-3 people. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and hand washbasin. The sleeping area has a double bed and closet, then comes the dining room with kitchen islands, dining space for four and a sofa bed. In addition, the large terrace with a seating area under an open pavilion offers a wonderful view of Lagoa do Fogo crater. There is a satellite TV in the living room that receives all European and North American programs. The house has air conditioning and electric heating for the bathroom. A washing machine and dryer are available if required for a fee. Fiber optic Wi-Fi internet access with 100 MBit/s is of course available. We offer free reservations for various day trips with local providers for whale watching, canyoning, quad biking or horse riding.

After ten years of the sailing around the world, my wife and I returned to mainland. Today, my daily activities consist of painting and publishing magazine articles. Architecture is my passion. To experience the space in real life, I sometimes build houses and live in them until new visions take hold of me. I am ready to share some of my ideas with architecture lovers. One of them is the house “Gala da Vittoria”. We want guests to feel “at home” from the first moment. To achieve this, we give guests a short “tour” of the house, explaining how it works, pointing out nuances and answering questions. Thanks to the good weather in the Azores all year round, we enjoy hiking with our two dogs, cooking our own meals at home or outdoors and are still grateful for our seafaring fate that brought us to these islands.

The location of the property is central, between craters of Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo. It is an ideal starting point for hiking, cycling and exploring picturesque villages, surfing at Santa Barbara Beach or playing a round of golf at the Batalha Golf Course. Minimum stay: 3 nights. Stays less than 3 nights will incur an extra cleaning fee of 50 euros.
