In life, we believe, everything is born of a moment. There's always that moment inside the concrete circumstance that determines what comes next. This dream was born when Andreia and Miguel came to Pico Island to celebrate a year of marriage. Having both hotel and tourism academic training, they become fascinated with the landscape and with the profile of an island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean unique in the world, where we can find, side by side, the Volcano Pico mountain, the brave Atlantic ocean, simple and humble people still maintaining their specific and secular insular traditions. A change of life was decided in that moment of bliss and contemplation. The appeal of the Atlantic beauty and tranquility settled in our souls and the dream is now fulfilled. Next thing we know, began the projects that were taking shape on the ground. Now, the great pleasure of receiving guests and treat them as worthy as those who demand the best. As simple as that.

The place we call Farrobo arises among the beautiful woods of Pico Island, in the Parish of Bandeiras. With the recovery of old stone houses, this development was born in the place from which borrowed its name - Farrobo. Once inhabited by 16 families, it was progressively being abandoned during the last 50 years. The old inhabitants lived from agriculture but as they were leaving, the houses turned into ruins and the forest surrounded the place and covered the agricultural fields. The encounter of the Atlantic Ocean with the mountain gave birth to this magical place, among the green of the trees and the basalt grey of stone.
