This cottage sells itself really... A mountain cottage in the middle of nature, in the lush Minho region of Portugal! You will find yourself in a small piece of paradise, with great views and close to a small village. This place is only interesting for people who do not need great luxury, do not want to sit in front of the TV (which we do NOT have) or are attached to there phone to be connected all the time! (although we have very fast internet) Open your eyes to the surroundings! This is a place for nature lovers who will enjoy the environment without distractions. This is a place to enjoy; read that book in the hammock with great view, have walks or hike through the mountains, eat outside, go on a picnic on the mountain! See the sunset or sunrise there. Indulge yourself and order our ' out of the ordinary' breakfast or a Tabua Regional, have a swim in the gorgeous private swimming pool, explore the garden, listen to the sounds of the birds singing around; at day and at night the owls! Be a stargazer; enjoy the night. Or just take in all the quietness that you are longing for. Here it is....a simple beautiful nature place.. just what you need.

We have the possibility to serve you breakfast which will be an out of the ordinary experience! For example Pain Perdu but in a special way, Egg cocotte, Scones, American Pancakes or clafoutis!...it will amaze you for 9,00 pp. All is homemade. Also we can serve you excellent 3diner course for 27,00 and a Tabua Regional for 18,00 (Regional Platter) with homemade and regional products. Served, of course, with a nice bottle of wine of the Region or a homemade fresh (non alcoholic) drink. Try it and it wil give an extra touch to your Holiday, for sure.

The house is situated on the hill of a mountain; with great views. The house is fully equipped but if you need something; please ask and we will try to supply. We have three dogs. They run freely in the garden. If you bring a dog make sure that he/she is social to other dogs. And please ask if it is possible. There is an extra fee for the dog at arrival. Discover the nature all around & enjoy the nearby village(s) with all the cafe’s/bars, supermarkets, nice little shops and good restaurants. We are near big cities such as: Braga (15min by car), Quimaraes (30min), Viano do Castelo with its beaches (40min), Ponte de Lima on the river the LIMA & Ponte de Barca. Enjoy a meal at a good restaurant in a historic city nearby; we can give you tips where to go. Nearby is the National Park Peneda- Geres with its lakes, wildlife, beautifull waterfalls, hiking routes and many more to see. The council Vila Verde has several river beaches with bars and restaurant(s) and even a free swimming pool. Villages at sea as Esposende, Apulia, Ofir and many more are waiting for you to stroll along the beach and also to sup, surf, relax, enjoy the sun and sea. Porto is 1hour by car.
