Company information

We started our family business in 2013. Inside Quinta dos Cochichos there are 5 units and we also manage a small holiday home (Maison Citron) in the historic part of the city of Olhão, located a few meters from the sea. Quinta dos Cochichos is a family business and our family lives in the place where we have a routine like any other family. Inside the Quinta there is also some agricultural activity, such as the harvesting of the carob, in certain periods of the year, or the harvesting of the olives, from which my husband later makes his own olive oil. We also have many fruit trees that you can harvest and taste. In addition, subject to availability, there is a vegetable garden and teas that you can also enjoy, all organic!

Property information

One of the reasons why our guests want to repeat the experience at Cochichos is the calm that is felt in the place and the simplicity that is experienced, far from the hustle and bustle. But there are other advantages like being close to the beach (Fuzeta 6 km) and the city (Olhão 4 km). Much appreciated by families, you can relax by the pool, have a nice family bbq or just close your eyes and listen ....

Neighbourhood information

We are located in a small village - Quelfes - close to Olhão (4 km) and Moncarapacho (4 km). The Quinta is in the countryside and there is a dirt road with 850 meters from the tarmac road. The place is very green and traditional, very typical of this region of the Algarve, with carob, almond and fig trees. There is a very good restaurant, with Portuguese and international cuisine, close to the Quinta - about 500 meters on foot, about 2 km by car. In addition to the restaurant, there are one or two local cafés. On certain Sundays of the month, Quelfes has a traditional local market. Nearby, in Estói, you can visit the Estói palace as well as the Roman ruins. The "cherry on the cake" is undoubtedly Ria Formosa, a Natural Park with a very special fauna and flora, not to mention natural beauty. You can rent a boat to spend the day on one of the islands, or go to see dolphins. I saw a family of orcas once. Anything can happen, it is undoubtedly a passionate place.
