Quinta Perpetua – this is where we live, take care of our beautiful garden, our beloved three cats and at the same time rent three independent holiday cottages to our guests. Quinta Perpetua, lovely managed by us, is nestled on the slope of the largest volcano of Graciosa above the south coast of the island, in the heart of nature and yet not far from the village centre of Luz. Parts of the building form a group around a romantic patio with the diversity of its beautiful flora. You will find seating areas nearby to enjoy the garden. Along the leafy garden, our place offers a unique and spectacular view of the sea as well as the neighbouring islands São Jorge, Faial and the highest mountain of Portugal – Pico. Quinta Perpetua is the perfect place for everyone looking for peace and quiet – far from rush, bustle and stress. The Quinta arose out of a traditional, azorean natural stone farmhouse and its neighbour house. One part of it has been renovated, the other one completely rebuilt. In the process of time this unique property arose and will be now ready to welcome guests again. Peaceful and serene, you will fell instantly at home.

The island of Graciosa is the second smallest island of the Azores (12.6 km length, 7 km width), after Corvo. It is also the lowest one at 405 metres. That implies less clouds and more hours of sun. And if gets a little bit more nippy, thermal springs are ideal for warming up and relaxing. The island is recognised as a UNESCO biosphere reserve since 2007. Classic package tourism plays only a minor role than on any other island (except Corvo). Most of the visitors are residents which gives you an authentic vacation experience far away from mass tourism.
