Welcome to Retiro da Serra, where you can enjoy the best that Serra da Estrela has to offer. Our house has c.200 m2, four large bedrooms and four bathrooms, and all amenities you need, in order to spend amazing and relaxing holidays away from home :) From our balcony, you can enjoy the magnificent view that extends from Serra da Gardunha to the Tower. We dare to say that it is, without a doubt, one of the accommodations with the best view of Penhas da Saúde... Come check it out for yourself! This wonderful property comes fully equipped and consists of: BEDROOMS - 2 suites with a queen size bed, with comfortable sheets and plenty of storage space. - 2 bedrooms with a double bed with comfortable sheets and plenty of storage space. SOCIAL AREA - A comfortable living room downstairs with a sofa, a pellet heating stove, cable TV, and access to the balcony. - Downstairs you can also find a large dining table, perfect for a dinner with friends and family. - A double bed is available in the upstairs common area, as well as a single folding bed. BATHROOMS - An ensuite bathroom, on the lower level, equipped with a bathtub, a mirror, a toilet and a bidet. - An ensuite bathroom, on the upper level, a bath with a bathtub, a mirror, a toilet and a bidet. - A bathroom, on the upper level, equipped with a bathtub, a mirror, a toilet and a bidet. - A social bathroom on the lower level. KITCHEN - A kitchen that comes fully equipped with all the appliances you might need during your stay, such as a Nespresso coffee machine, a stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge and freezer, a toaster and much more! PARKING - Guests can park inside or in front of the private box garage, or anywhere on the public road. Disclaimer: The slope of the access ramp may not be suitable for all cars. To access to the accommodation, guests are required to send, up to 48 hours prior to the check-in date, data of all guests staying (including children), in accordance to Portuguese law.

Retiro da Serra is located in Penhas da Saúde, at about 1500 meters of altitude. Penhas da Saúde is the closest village to Torre, the highest point in mainland Portugal, and home to the only ski resort in the country. You can find several restaurants in walking distance from our accomodation. We are also located close to the ice rink, as well as the natural pool of Penhas da Saúde. In 15 minutes (by car), you will be in the center of Covilhã, where you can find all amenities such as supermarkets, pharmacies, hospital, etc. Come and discover everything Serra da Estrela has to offer!
