Welcome to Fairytale Cottage Situated in the heart of Triglav National Park where you will be amazed by the lush green scenery and peacefulness of the nature. The Cottage is suitable for families and groups, nature lovers, hikers and anyone who seeks pristine nature and pure relaxation. We are pet friendly. The cottage is situated 8km from Bled, one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia. It’s also very close to Lake Bohinj and plateau Pokljuka. There is a possibility to rent Electric Bikes. From 1st July 2022 till 31st August 2022 two free transports will be organised in Bled, intended for locals and visitors. The service is not intended for organised groups of passengers: The Pokljuka bus starts from Infocenter Triglavska roža Bled, past the main bus station, Rečica, Gorje to Pokljuka plateu (Rudno polje). (50 seater bus) The Bled bus connects the Bled countryside (Zasip, Ribno and Bohinjska Bela) with Bled. (30 seater bus). The Pokljuka bus also allows transport of up to 5 bikes, on the hook of the bus. Timetable and routs available on Bled tourist info website.

Not far from the Cottage is a hidden wild gorge that will surely impress you. It is one of the oldest fossil gorges in Europe. Lush forest, natural bridges, holes, caves and narrow passages between 50 meter walls. The 'popular' neighbor is the beautiful Vintgar gorge that attracts the majority of visitors, but you can explore the Pokljuka gorge in complete peace and tranquility. A few kilometers further is the Pokljuka plateau. Pokljuka is well known by Biathlon centre called Rudno polje, there are numerous hiking starting points from where you can reach the highest tops of Slovenian Alps. There is a well known myth about the witches gathering on the summer solstice, also called the Midsummer Night, when on the mountain pasture Klek they fly on their brooms, a thing you surely wouldn’t like to miss out. You can also explore the nearby Radovna that ends in Krma valley witch offers a stunning view on Julian Alps and it’s also an easy starting point to the Slovenians highest mountain Triglav. Bled Lake is only 8km away and Bohinj Lake 20km.
