METIS Apartment – a place where comfort meets wisdom. The apartment is thoughtfully furnished to provide you with maximum comfort and an aesthetic experience throughout your stay. It features a fully equipped kitchen with a living area, a bathroom combined with a toilet (each guest has access to mini shower gels from a high-quality Czech brand, a vanity set, and towels), and a bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, and chest of drawers (a crib for children is available upon request). Among the most significant cultural institutions in the city are the three buildings of Matica slovenská, the Slovak National Museum and the Museum of the Slovak Village, the National Cemetery, a theatre, a gallery, and many more. For those who enjoy being active, the area offers a variety of hiking trails – from easy walks to more demanding routes. Popular destinations include Martinské hole, Malý and Veľký Kriváň, Zniev Castle, the ruins of Sklabiňa Castle, Teplice Serpentines, and others. The trails around the Turiec region are ideal for families with children as well as experienced hikers and athletes. Our apartment is located in the wider center of the town of Martin. Within walking distance, you'll find a supermarket (approx. 3 minutes), a bus stop (1 minute), and the train station (18 minutes). The town square is about a 10-minute walk away. In addition to historically significant cultural landmarks, the city center offers several local establishments that will surely enrich your stay in Martin. The town is surrounded by the beautiful mountains that form the Turiec Basin – a paradise for hikers, skiers, cyclists, and anyone looking to spend pleasant moments in the unique nature of the Veľká or Malá Fatra Mountains. All information about activities in the Turiec region will be available in the apartment throughout your stay, and we will also be happy to recommend specific places based on your preferences.
