Lenka was born and raised in Slovakia and knows all that needs to be known about the area. She also speaks Slovak of course! Brian is Irish and is a huge convert to all things Slovak and to Banska Bystrica in particular. Lenka and Brian share an immense enthusiam for their business and are very much hands-on when it comes to customer care and client service. Oh, and they got married in 2022! This Suite is a self-contained property - an annex to the main house (which was built circa 1910, we believe). The front steps lead to the small entrance hall area and to the spacious main room which has an en-suite shower-room with a toilet and sink. There is a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee making facility along with some crockery and cutlery (there is no kitchen). The location could hardly be better: opposite the beautiful City Park (ideal for a morning/evening jog; or doggie walk!) and within a short walk (7 minutes!) of the town center with its restaurants, pubs, clubs and shops. Banska Bystrica itself is steeped in history - every building tells its own unique story - yet has a range of funky bars, modern restaurants, enticing wine bars and comfortable coffee shops. The Europa shopping center will provide plenty of variety for even the most energetic shopper. With skiing and golf resorts nearby you will have plenty to do whether it is summer or winter. University Mateja Bellu is (literally) just a few steps away. We provide guests with a safe private parking space at the property.

Banska Bystrica is steeped in history. Every building in the beautiful town square, just a short walk from your accommodation, has its own unique story. The square itself offers an eclectic mix of modern and historic pubs, restaurants, jazz clubs, wine bars, and coffee houses. For the more energetic, fashion-conscious shopper, the Europa Centre will provide plenty of choice in terms of boutiques, shops and restaurants as well as a cinema. With skiing (Jasna, Tale and Donovaly), golf resorts (Tri Duby and Tale), kayaking (River Hron) and cycling (lots of cycle tracks) nearby you will have plenty to do whether it is summer or winter. Using Banska Bystrica as your holiday hub you can plan daily excursions to the High Tatras (take the 3 ski-lifts to Lomnicky Stit – incredible views!); Banska Stiavnica (a Unesco Heritage Town) and Spania Dolina (beautiful old mining village); or visit the magnificent castles of Bojnice and Orava.
