very comfortable rooms in an old building. this does mean a bit of creaking and slippery teak floors, but all part of the charm.

Experience a new way of relaxation in Bangkok with this century-old teakwood house located in the heart of Bangkok's prestigious Phra Nakhon district. The distinctive house, supported by cultural heritage preservation, is situated not far from Samsen Road, Khao San Road, and Bang Lamphu Road, cultural and tourist attractions including temples, museums, art galleries, and cafes. Due to Thailand's hot climate, wooden houses provide cool shade and comfortable ventilation. This house was built in 1921 during the reign of King Rama VI. Originally owned by Phraya Surin Sawai (Thao Valyasewi), the father of Teacher Buppa Valyasewi, the director of Walaya School. The surname "Valyasewi" is written in Roman letters according to the royal decree, bestowed by King Rama VI, as the 30th surname from the royal lineage. This house has been renovated while preserving its original features, perfect for those who appreciate Thai culture and want to experience the ancient Thai house atmosphere, surrounded by a community of genuine residents of the Phra Nakhon district, as well as being close to delicious local eateries favored by travelers. Each of these eateries has a long history. This house is located on Ratchadamnoen Avenue, currently being promoted and supported by the government as a new tourism route, alongside Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem. This canal has been modernized into a new tourist attraction, transforming it into a pedestrian street during various festivals
The host loves traveling, enjoys taking photos, and likes to explore, especially visiting small towns in each country. They find the charm unique in people, food, and culture, and they always come back with great experiences which lead to the idea of the renovating the building into luxury guest house while still preserving Thai architecture and arts in this building with the aspiration to impress and leverage guest experience as the same as they feel while traveling.
