Africa Safari Lake Natron is a luxury safari lodge, located between the most important safari parks in northern Tanzania. It’s a perfect base for visiting the most important breeding site in the world for Lesser Flamingos or to discover the different salt and soda lakes. We offer comfortable Safari Tents with en suite bathroom and king size bed. Or enjoy the ultimate Glamping experience in a Glamping Safari Tent with luxurious bathroom and spacious covered veranda. We also offer a swimming pool, Bar/Restaurant, campfire, and a Reception & Information Desk for all your questions, excursions or last-minute Safari trips. The lodge is inside the National Park located and the extra park fee needs to be paid on arrival in the lodge or in advance via our central office.

The Africa Safari Lake Natron Lodge is located on the slopes of the Ngorongoro conservation. It is a non-vulcanic area. The lodge is built on the black lava from the volcano and only a few hundred meters from the lake. The lake have the highest salt/water ration in the world and gives a home to more than one million Flamingos and Pelicans. But also waterfalls, Hotsprings and hiking routes are next door. Our staff will assist you during your stay and organize the activities.

There are many government agencies tasked with managing the ecosystem in the wildlife areas of Tanzania. Please note that any fees, charges, or concessions levied by these institutions must be paid at the lodge reception or the entrance gate, along with any applicable Tourism Development Levies, Village Fees, and Gate Fees.

Your reservation does not include an overnight tax of US$29.50 per adult per night and US$23.80 per child (5 – 17 years) per night, mandated by the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA). Additionally, a Tourism Development Levy and a Village Fee of $2.50 per person per night are required. It is recommended that you contact the lodge at least 72 hours before your stay to arrange payment of these additional charges.

We accept MasterCard and Visa. Please be advised that all credit card payments will incur a surcharge of 3%.

Cancellations made within 60 days of arrival will incur 100% cancellation fees. Additionally, prepayment is required 60 days prior to arrival. Failure to remit payment by the deadline will result in the reservation being released. When booking 6 rooms or more, prepayment is required immediately, and any cancellation will incur 100% penalties. Failure to remit payment by the deadline will result in the reservation being released.

To ensure a peaceful and comfortable stay for all guests, the lodge enforces a quiet policy from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
