The Caravan Serai Amour is situated in a traditional Stone Town family home that was initially built for an Imam (a person who leads prayers in the mosque) and his close relatives. A special architectural feature is the open-air courtyard in the common area that guests share when having breakfast, relaxing or socializing. On the building’s first floor, five individually styled rooms are furnished with fine antiques and unique, locally crafted treasures, creating a comfortable and cosy atmosphere. The Caravan Serai Amour is ideal for the individual budget-minded traveller seeking a special and authentic place to stay in the heart of Stone Town. Many small shops and a choice of local restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. Every evening, the Mkunazini street food bazaar just around the corner comes to life and offers a variety of local snacks and delicacies. The house can also accommodate families and groups of friends. To enjoy privacy, it is possible to rent the entire first floor. The Mkunazini area is a typical, friendly Stone Town neighbourhood. You will find many small shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and all of Stone Town's attractions are within easy walking distance.
