We are a Bed and Breakfast that offers the same amenities including a restaurant and full bar services, as most Inns. The difference is our ability to provide individualized service to each guest and to pamper them in a beautiful environment that is both warm and welcoming. The house was built in 1904 by a local judge and is listed on the historic registry. It has an interesting history and is both lovely and in great shape. The veranda is a favorite place to relax and you are also welcome to play bocce ball, horseshoes or bean bag toss in the gardens or pool in the billiards room. While you are here, enjoy the art and furniture, which is from the personal collection of the owners. The food is also very good and we are committed to making everything fresh and from the best ingredients available. We buy local and organic to the extent possible. The food reflects Kitt's history and travels and is an interesting mixture of California Cuisine and Southern Cooking.

Kitt was born in Mexico and lived for many years in Tokyo, Japan. Her husband, Gary is an orthopedic spine surgeon by day and Innkeeper by night. They are from California and left there 13 years ago. Since then, they have lived in Mississippi, Georgia and Bluefield. The art and furniture is from their own collection and reflects the personality and history of the owners and the Inn. All of the services and amenities are based on what they enjoy most while traveling. Their favorite part of owning the Inn is meeting all of the wonderful guests who visit.

We are located in a quiet, historic district. There are many beautiful homes within walking distance and there is a City Park about 1 1/2 miles from the Inn which features mountain biking and running/hiking trails. The local community center which has a pool and full workout facilities provides a reduced day rate to our guests. Nearby, there are antique shops and restaurants, a phenomenal bar that has live music 4 days a week and 2 colleges, concerts, theater, and a scenic overlook. In the summer we also are home to the Toronto Bluejay's Rookie team and offer tickets to the games. Bluefield is a perfect location to enjoy the beautiful scenery and outdoor activities of West Virginia. We are within 1-2 hours of coal mine tours, an historic millionaire's city, New River Gorge, the Greenbrier, popular motorcycle roads, the Appalachian Trail, limestone caverns, The Hatfield-McCoy ATV trails, Burke's Gardens, golf, and two wonderful museums (Wolf Creek, an indian village and Crab Orchard which features old log cabins and homes that have been painstakingly moved from their original locations and rebuilt). In the winter, we are 30 minutes from Winterplace, a skiing and tubing area
