Set on two lush acres and with Hawaii Volcanoes National Park only a mile away, this is the ideal place to stay when planning to explore the vast national park. Natural reserves, wildlife refuges, tropical forests, and nature sanctuaries abound in the area. This home has an open-concept indoor living design with modern furnishings, vaulted ceilings, and even a gas fireplace for warming up on those high-elevation cool and damp volcano evenings. This sturdy home was uniquely designed and offers a sense of security. It is a rare find on the island in that it was carefully constructed of imported solid cedar which is a well-known aromatic mildew-resistant wood. While there are excellent dining options within a short drive, the full kitchen offers the opportunity to cook an al fresco meal to enjoy together on the custom dining table or backyard lanai. This house has a "cabin in the woods" feel and is the best location in Volcano to enjoy peace, nature, and the proximity of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. THINGS TO KNOW There is no dishwasher in the kitchen. Guests must climb many stairs to access the home.

No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximun occupancy and quiet hours. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a damage waiver fee which covers you for up to 3,000 dollars of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out.
