Largely the most well known town of the Outer Banks, Nags Head sits just below Kill Devil Hills and borders Oregon Inlet going south. You can't make a visit to the town of Nags Head without a stop at the famous Jockey's Ridge State Park. There you can climb the tallest active sand dune system in the Eastern United States. Feeling adventurous? Take a swing at hang gliding or sand boarding down the dunes! Cool off from your dune outing with the ocean breeze at Jennette's Pier, which extends 1,000 feet over the Atlantic. Anglers and sightseers come from all over to take in the views and see record breaking fish caught. We can't forget the great food Nags Head has to offer.
