The SECRET GARDEN ROOM is just that.......a room nestled within a colorful and whimsical botanical garden filled with lush plantings, a koi fish pond and a man made waterfall are right outside the sliding glass doors to your room. The rooms comfy queen size bed looks onto the pond and features a sitting area for morning coffee or tea or just contemplating the peacefulness. The luggage room secures your items out of the way but you are able to spread out in the space for easy access. Shower behind a lovely etched glass door with free body wash, and hair and skin amenities at your fingertips. The pull out swivel television screen makes for easy access and viewing and the overhead fan has three levels for your comfort day or night. We do offer our washer and dryer for free as well as free WIFI. We supply some dive gear and beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler for drinks and snacks. We supply each guest with fresh cut island pineapple, seasonal fruits from our yard and farm, a box of macadamia nut cookies, island coffee, a variety of teas, oatmeal and granola bars. Our room is equipped with a toaster, blender, rice cooker, microwave, mini refrigerator, hot plate and cooking pans.

Les was born on the island and offers his wealth of local information easily. An avid fisherman and hiker, he shares stories and insight to special places that Kauai has to offer for both the beginner and the experienced. Carol has lived on Kauai since 1975, raised three children here and loves what she does regarding hosting guests in the SECRET GARDEN ROOM and working in the lush. manicured gardens. She loves to paint and brings the colors to the garden in many interesting ways. She has incorporated Les and her travels into the garden featuring places such as Germany, Switzerland, France, Japan, New Zealand and many of the 50 states of America. Hints of their travels and information are all around the whimsical garden.

The SECRET GARDEN ROOM is located three miles up from the famous Lydgate Beach Park on the east side of Kauai near the town of Kapaa. Along that three mile stretch you will pass an ancient Hawaiian site, a valley lookout and Opaeka'a Falls waterfall just as you reach the neighborhoods of the area we call the Wailua Homesteads. Easy to find with your GPS device our neighborhood is very quaint and comes in with two cul-de-sacs on either side. We are located to the left. We ask that you please respect our neighbors, drive slow and if there is any doubt as to our place please call us rather than ask our neighbors. We have our address very apparent, lights across our garage should you arrive at night and a driveway for you to park in off of the main street called Ahele Drive. We have made every effort to help guide you here without our neighbors being involved. Thank You in advance for that! The nearby grocery stores, restaurants and entertainment are about a 10 minute drive from our place. We are very centrally located with the north shore (Hanalei) about an hours drive away and the famous Waimea Canyon and Kokee hiking trails about an hour and half drive from our place.
