Company info

We are a family owned and operated business and have been in the Ruidoso area for 24 years. Upper Canyon Inn & Cabins is our 2nd Ruidoso property located in the Upper Canyon. We also own Shadow Mountain Lodge and Cabins with 19 Lodge rooms and 4 romantic cabins, and two private cabins below mid-town- our 3 bedroom is on the river.

Property info

Upper Canyon Inn & Cabins have been completely remodeled to Romantic 2 person whirlpool suites and cabins. All accommodations have fireplaces, full kitchenettes and covered decks with seating to enjoy the forest views. The Rio Ruidoso River sits across from the property where you can take a leisurely stroll or for the more adventurous miles of hiking trails. The Inn is walking distance to the Mid-town shops, galleries and restaurants, and only a short drive to golfing, horse racing, museums and the local 3 casinos. Ski Apache is a 30 minute drive from town.

Neighborhood info

Upper Canyon is the preferred and historic area of Ruidoso. Back in the day, the Upper Canyon is where folks came to escape the summer heat and enjoy the mountain environment. The river runs through the canyon and wildlife is abundant. Deer, elk and the occasional black bear can been seen roaming the neighborhood. In the summer months hummingbirds take over many folks spend the entire day relaxing on the porch watching them flutter around.
