Unique and creatively built, featuring casual luxury, in the natural Knysna forests, Guests need to understand that we are in the forest, as the name states, which comes with all natures insects, animals and issues, if any?...we have lived here for 35years, Know every insect, Animal and the likes, further are able and will sort out any personal dislikes, as we can and do? Housekeeping are instructed to suck up and sort all units prior to guests' arrival! i.e. creepies that may have walked in? it certainly not an issue, wattsup us if you need to know anything? We will not give refunds for natural occurrences. We are 8 mins from the Knysna lagoon, where ferry trips, boating, fishing, swimming, is carried on throughout the year, weather is mild to suitably warm, cozy fires and electric blankets in winter! Tar Road takes you to a quantity gravel driveway, maintained in a good condition. Hike on the property, down to the KISSING SPOT, BIRDHIDE, chase each other around, leaving your names on the walls, with a provided pen? walk further 1.5hrs into the Forest, down to a perianal river, where the indigenous forest is amazing and back to your cottage. You will get a map and a history lesson, of what to do and where to go, from the receptionist on duty. There is an info board in the reception, with pamphlets you may take to peruse and plan…things to do! Stories to tell, of great Restaurants, Gin bars, Ferries, site seeing, Mountain biking, Hiking are well known things, at FOREST VALLEY COTTAGES.
