Your home from home is a private, self-catering apartment on our private property, with separate entrance. The air-conditioned one bedroom apartment (with queen size bed) has a separate bathroom (shower, toilet and basin), lovely kitchen with stove and oven, microwave oven and dishwasher. The relaxing lounge has a flatscreen TV (Netflix), while an outside veranda caters for your sundowners, or "braai" (barbeque). Your own private parking spot, behind our locked front gate, is available. Note: Please take note that we also operate a gardening service in Stellenbosch. The work team departs from our property. This does not physically affect our clients, but there is normal activity around 07h30 on weekdays, when the garden team loads their vehicle and departs. You could therefore hear some sounds, but this is not of a high intensity. This information is provided to ensure that there are no surprises for you, not bad ones anyway!

I am a recently retired engineer, member at the local golf club, budding musician and amateur wine master and cook! In other words, I love everything about our town and the surrounding winelands. I can share a lot of tips and local knowledge, should you require it. For wine shoppers, I can direct you to a local shipping company for any purchases, if this is needed. I am helpful and friendly, and service orientated. I understand that you want a relaxing and trouble-free stay, and it is our aim to ensure that for you. Paradyskloof lies on the southern side of Stellenbosch, towards the Strand/Gordons Bay, at the foot of the Stellenbosch Mountain. It is aptly named, meaning Paradise Gorge. If you like nature, the mountains, a walk in the pine forest, mountain-biking, going for a run in the morning, this base in the Cape Winelands paradise is perfect for you. Close-by attractions (under 3 kms) include the pine forest, the world-class Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden (a must-visit), two award-winning golf courses, several top wine estates, with restaurants, including regular Top Ten restaurant winners. The Golden Triangle of top wine farms are directly adjacent. The Rupert Art Museum is on the way into town. The historical Stellenbosch town centre is of course directly accessible (4km), while short day trips are recommended to the surrounding tourism attractions. These include Franschhoek, historical venues and architecture, the amazing Babylonstoren (another must-see), wineries, markets, music shows. There is too much to list, with Stellenbosch and Franschhoek being the foremost tourism destinations in the country. The attractions are well documented on the internet. This is genuinely the tourism hot-spot in the country. Cape Town is 50 Kms away and an easy drive. The Cape Town international airport is 30 Kms away. The beach at Strand is 18 kms away. Uber services are available. You will not be disappointed.
