The building was constructed in the early 1900 and at the outer perimeter of the old Mosselbaai, with most of the original walls built with stone. Although most of the characteristics of masonry is still visible, some renovations are more modern and thus not eligible for Blue shield heritage status. On street level the building host a dental practice and on the lower garden level is the apartment.
The apartment is situated in the Central Business District of the town and the shops, restaurants and places to visit is within walking distance. Shop with take-away (open day hours) 100m, Gannet Restaurant (need to book) 450m, harbor dining spots 850m, 1500m to the Point dining spots and 1700m to Santos beach (Blue flag 2016) for a swim.
