Mayfair Farm Cottages are situated on the West bank of the Grobbelaars river just outside the town of Oudtshoorn on the farm Mayfair. Oudtshoorn is the largest town in the Klein Karoo and en route the world renowned R62. This location provides you the best of both worlds, close to all attractions & amenities, but yet quiet and tranquil surrounds will make you feel that you are miles away from stress and traffic. The 1,5 km gravel road leading to Mayfair is a Cul de Sac, so no drive through traffic will disturb you from enjoying the sounds of nature. We are situated across the river from the Cango Wildlife Ranch, so you can experience the sound of lions roaring in Africa. We have 3 alone standing cottages with spacious parking within a secure area which is controlled with a remote gate. The cottages are 300 meters away from the main farmhouse which allows you to enjoy your privacy. The swimming pool is situated at the main farmhouse, only 5 min walk away from the cottages. The cottages are newly renovated with open plan living design for making great memories together with friends or family. All 3 kitchens are fully equipped to cater for short or lengthy stays. All the bedrooms have air-conditioning (cool & heated) to make your stay comfortable. Each cottage has a portable braai (barbaque) facility that can be used by guests. The cottages are surrounded by lawns and there are springbuck roaming free in the enclosed space which create a tranquil atmosphere. Our guests love visiting at Mayfair Farm Cottages because it is close to the town center and restaurants while also providing the tranquility of being on a farm and enjoying nature.

We are Neil & Helena Wilken, the owners of Mayfair Farm 2 km outside of Oudtshoorn. We have been farming with ostriches for the last 40 years and also do contract incubation of ostrich eggs for many other farmers in the district. We live in the main house on the farm and after all 3 our children left the home as adults, we decided to renovate some old cottages for short term rental. We created this accommodation for people who would enjoy a farm stay and self catering unit with friends and family, but also enjoy being close to all amenities and restaurants in town.
