Merci Père is a family home. The house is situated in Mountainside, a residential area of Gordon's Bay in the Western Cape Province. The three-storied house is split into three different spaces. The Apartment with Sea View section is on the top floor. It need to be mentioned, that although the apartment is on the top floor, it is accessible from street level as Merci Pere is located against the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. Boa Esperanca is located on the ground level of the building and can be reached through a private entrance from 11 Goede Hoop Street. There is also an on site swimming pool for the use of the guests. Merci Père and Boa Esperança operate as a self catering guest house and not a holiday home. There are other people on the premises and therefor guests are not allowed to make excessive noise and bring there own musical appliances on site. At this guest house we expect guests to take other people and guests on site and in the neighbourhood into consideration when making use of our facilities. No hen and stag or any other parties of any kind are allowed on the premises.

The owners moved to Gordon's Bay in August 2015 and decided to establish a place with holiday accommodation in their house. They are born South Africans in their mid sixties.

Merci Père is situated in the coastal town of Gordon 's Bay in the Western Cape. The apartment forms part of the hosting family's house but is private and on the top floor of the residence. There is an open stairway betwen the two levels. As Merci Père is situated in Mountainside in Gordon's Bay on the slopes of the mountain, the apartment is as good as on ground level. It need to be mentioned that stairs need to be used to get access to the swimming pool. The area is very safe and guests can safely walk through the streets of the neighbourhood as well as to the nearest shops and beach which is about 3km away.
