In Kersbosstrand, Dwarskersbos; you could think you are in Greece amongst the beautiful white houses nestled in a peaceful coastal strip. This upmarket flat has uninterrupted sea views. Serenity is a stone's throw from a pristine beach where you can take long strolls whilst watching the dolphins at play. It is private and separate from the main house, which is backed by solar power. We have now installed Fibre so internet speed is great! Light up the Weber kettle braai on your own private balcony and enjoy a relaxing sundowner whilst witnessing the famous West Coast sunsets.

I love the outdoors, travel, cooking, hiking, camping and oil painting. I am married with 2 beautiful children - both working now and living in their own homes in Capetown. Hopefully we will be at the beach house to welcome and greet you. Your stay is private and separate from the main house. We will respect your privacy. Kersbosstrand, in Dwarskersbos, is a delightful West Coast village with stunning beaches. The white painted houses surrounded by fynbos and colorful patches of seasonal flowers are part of its charm. There is a Spar supermarket and OK superette in Velddrif as well as fuel stations, eateries, etc. In Dwarskersbos you will find a deli, beer garden, mini market, bottle store and restaurant. Visit Bokkoms Laan in Velddrif, where in season you will see the Bokkoms drying amidst the historic fishermen's houses flanking the estuary. The birdlife is wonderful and abundant in this area. There is Rocherpan Nature Reserve, the Westcoast Fossil Park and many beautiful towns to explore nearby. A few to mention are Paternoster, Elands Bay, Langebaan, Jacobsbaai and St Helena Bay. Don't forget about the flower season. The flower season in Velddrif typically occurs during August and September, coinciding with the West Coast's spring flower season. This is when the region experiences a vibrant display of wildflowers, including the famous Namaqualand daisies.  For upmarket dining, there is the Anchor Restaurant in Port Owen and Kleinvlei Bistro on Bokkoms Laan. Coffee lovers frequent Columbine Co. for great freshly brewed coffee, also situated on Bokkoms Laan. Visit Charlie's Brewhouse for a great meal and have a gin tasting next door. If it's a sea view you are looking for, then dining at Zeezicht Restaurant, on the beach in Laaiplek, will tick that box. Or get some delicious takeaway fish and chips from Doepies or Die Posbus in Velddrif.
