We have holidayed in Hermanus many times over the years and have longed to have our own home in this very special town. We found 19 On Mitchell in 2022 - at the time occupied by a legal practise and an estate agent. We've spent the last 18 months restoring it back to a beautiful residential home. The main house has 4 ensuite bedrooms and can sleep 8. The property also has a standalone cottage that will be able to accomodate 2 adults as well as a child on a sleeper couch. Located in the heart of Hermanus Town, both Woolworths and Checkers are a short walk from the house (200m). Nearby restaurants that are within walking distance include: Rossis (Italian), Pear Tree Bistro, Theos (Greek), Bientangs Cave (Seafood), Burgandy, The Wine Glass, Char'd Grill + Wine Bar, Cafe 1904, Perlemoen (Seafood), Fishermans Cottage. The Cliff Path - which now covers a 12km stretch from the New Harbour to Dutchies on Grotto Beach has recently opened end to end and is a MUST. Whale watching is a favourite past time - especially between the months of June to October when the Southern Right Whales migrate to the bay to calve. Book a boat trip during viewing season or simply sit a while along the cliff path and watch these majestic beasts of the ocean. The Hermanus market takes place every Saturday and the Red Shed Market in town is open daily. Book a day trip with the Hermanus Wine Hopper and savour the tastes of Die Hemel-en-aarde Valley or simply meander through the valley yourself - there is no shortage of farms to visit.
