The concept of Wolwehoek arose from our love for nature. We wanted to create a place where one can get as far away from the stress of the modern world as possible. After countless weekends away, always trying to find the perfect, most remote and secluded cabin to rent we decided that we could do better ourselves. And so, at the start of 2019 we started searching for a piece of land. We wanted a property with nothing on it, no developments, untouched by man, a property we could change into a nature reserve to protect one of the last pockets of nature not yet developed. After an extensive search we found Wolwehoek... The first Cabin, Leopards Kloof has been a labour of love and logistical challenge. Built mostly by ourselves with a lot of blood, sweat and tears being shed along the way to get it to where it is now. We hope that everyone who stays at Wolwehoek can find the same appreciation for the silence and beauty around them while relaxing and letting go of the stress our daily lives bring us, and if possible, be inspired to also do more to preserve what wilderness is left. ​

Set deep in the mountains down a secluded valley on Wolwehoek Reserve you will find Leopard's Kloof Camp. Designed to make guests feel like explorers from a time past, Leopard's Kloof has every luxury you might need on your adventure into the mountains. Inside you will find a King sized bed with premium bed linen and towels supplied as well as a lounge with luxurious Chesterfield sofas and armchairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need, there is however no oven or Wifi due to the unit being run on solar power. The bathroom has a large bath with stunning views and a walkway to the outdoor shower. We offer guests hand made Organic soaps with fynbos extracts. Follow the walkways outside to the braai area and outside lounge where we have a hand built Pizza oven for guests to use as well as a braai and all braai utensils. The plunge pool has a wood-fired heater and can be turned into a hot tub to soak in under star covered skies at night. We supply all wood for the braai and hot tub. Please note that Leopards Kloof is ACCESSIBLE BY 4X4 OR SUV ONLY. Guests are required to sign our Indemnity Form before arrival. There are no nearby cabins, cell reception, Wifi signal or people you will be completely secluded and have 100% privacy.

The cabin is 6km drive on the reserve from the main road. This takes about 20 - 30min. The nearest town, Montagu, is about 30km from Wolwehoek. The reserve is surrounded by fruit farms and mountains with very few people living in the area. Please Note: Wolwehoek is a nature reserve, there is a possibility you will encounter animals, insects, reptiles, etc which we have no control over. The cabin is 4km down a 4X4 access road and sometimes in bad weather the road can become tricky. You will need a SUV or 4X4 to get to the cabin. If any of this might upset you perhaps consider that Wolwehoek is not the place for you.
