Lovely comfortable room and excellent night sleep. The location is convenient for major routes but in a quiet hamlet so very peaceful. Great choice for evening meal, generous portion and very tasty. Breakfast selection is good and well cooked, with generous portions. I always stay here on my trips between the Midlands and the Highlands.

Great homely pub B&B, the owners are great, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to eat there on the evening due to our arrival time but we didn’t manage have a few drinks and a good chat and laugh with the owners.

Breakfast was served in a separate dining room away from the pub and restaurant areas. The guest visits were staggered so there was never any crowding. Selection was very good. Besides offering two features, full English and Eggs Bennie, you could also order ala carte (two eggs, bacon, toast, etc.). There was also a good selection of cold cereals and juices. Our server also brought us a carafe of fresh coffee to our table (tea of course was also available). Totally first class! We also ate at both the pub and restaurant areas. There were a lot of tasty offerings (amongst other dishes I had the fisherman's platter, Sunday lamb dinner, and the burger - my dining partner had the steak and ale pie, fish and chips...). There was also a good selection of beer on tap including four (I think) cask ales. Guinness 0 and other non-alcoholic beers are available in cans or bottles. The ambience was wonderful. The building itself is 1800s vintage according to their website and the owners have taken great pains to keep its character. It's also located above a lovely little river and there are a lot of areas to explore and hike around the hotel.

Really nice inn with a fantastic owner and phenomenal staff. They were super accommodating with me, and both the dinner and breakfast were great, really good portions and super tasty. The room was perfect for one person and very comfortable, I slept like a baby. The locals were also very helpful regarding bus timetables, which was highly appreciated.

A wonderful rustic inn with staff as warm and friendly and the inn itself. The meal was delicious and the ale cold. If you want somewhere away from the bustle of town, this is the place.
