Situated in the heart of the tourist area. Everything is within walking distance. Restaurants, bars and shops are close. Friendly and helpful staff, rooms cleaned every day. Comfortable bed and clean sheets. Towels, soap and TP provided. Good Wi-fi and TV. Quiet at night. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Het beschikt over comfortabele kamers met gratis WiFi.... The hotel is close to the centre. Spatious room, clean bathroom, comfortable bed. WiFi was good. Good breakfast, too. Nice, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. A nice gesture is there are books to borrow at the front desk. I would stay here again.

Sylvia, the manager, and her family are just delightful! The rooms are very basic, but clean, and the bed was comfortable and the blankets are warm. I woke up to watch the sunrise over Lake Titicaca from my bedroom window! And breakfast was lovely and filling. The wifi was surprisingly fast out on the balcony and in rooms closer to the entry.

Residencial Uruguay is goed gelegen in het centrum van La Paz, en biedt gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie, een gedeelde lounge en gratis privéparkeren. I chose this accommodation because I was arriving by bus in the evening and this was nice and close to the station. It was an excellent choice. La Paz is not a city you want to be dragging bags around. I think it took me 2 or 3 minutes to walk to it - very convenient. The woman on the front desk was so nice. Her English was excellent. The other staff I encountered were still very nice, but my lack of Spanish made things more difficult. This accommodation is a bit of a labyrinth. My room was up several sets of stairs, through an open area, around a few corners and up another set of stairs. I found that kind of charming, but it might be a problem for some. The room itself was nice and big, with a desk and a chest of drawers - something I don't usually encounter in budget accommodation. The view was out towards the bus station, but I could also see the cable cars which was cool. The red line cable car was about a fifteen minute walk away. San Francisco cathedral, the witches market etc was about a fifteen minute downhill walk away. Instead of walking back up the hill to get back, I took the yellow line which joined up with the silver line, which joined up with the red line. A much longer journey to get back, but so much fun, and I didn't have to walk up the hill. Breakfast started quite late - 8am, I think, so I only had it on the first morning. It was an egg, bread and tea. Better than no breakfast, but nothing special. This was a really good option for a short stay in La Paz.
