What fabulous homemade food at such a good price! I highly recommend this place for a taste of authentic Yorkshire hospitality. It's a yes from me.

Surrounded by miles of peaceful countryside, this 19th-century listed building offers old-fashioned charm alongside modern comforts, home-cooked local food and local beers and ales. Lovely room with very comfortable bed and the breakfast was generous with quality ingredients. My gluten free needs were well catered for. Friendly staff.

The Star Hotel is THE friendliest accommodation I've ever stayed in. They couldn't do enough for me, and the biggest bonus was a disco the first night, then, on the second night, a live band. Best place ever. All the staff super friendly and helpful, plus all the patrons made this Southener very welcome indeed. The room was exceptionally clean, and I honestly couldn't fault it at all. Parking was great too.
