Indra Valley Inn Bukit Lawang ligger i Bukit Lawang og har en have, terrasse, en restaurant og bar. The accommodation is in a wonderful location, on the edge of the village where it’s quieter, yet still just a ten-minute walk to the center. Beautiful views of the river and the jungle beyond, where macaques roam and even an orangutan made an appearance. The macaques occasionally ran across our roof and balcony — the kids were thrilled. We went on several treks with guides from this accommodation, and all of them were amazing. We saw 12 orangutans of all sizes, macaques, Thomas leaf monkeys, turtles, and even hornbills. For those interested in more unusual animals, I highly recommend the evening snake walk — it was simply incredible. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We’re glad we chose Obiwan’s Indra Valley Inn for our stay in Bukit Lawang.

Really loved the large room with the large private bathroom in the hut. They have fans as well and there is a level of privacy you can enjoy here in the jungle. The food is really delicious and I also recommend the jungle treks you can book with Putra, bound to see oragutans and other amazing wildlife. Also, the river close to this property is very refreshing, I have really enjoyed it. Putra and his family will take really good care of you!

Toris and his family are lovely, we had a wonderful stay and it was hard to leave! The accommodation is on the beach, the setting is heavenly, Toris offers surfboards to rent and surf lessons! We ate really well and we were even able to cook sometimes too. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, I recommend without hesitation and I would like to return with pleasure!

Bagoes View Cottages ligger i Maninjau, 30 km fra Gadang Klokketårn, og har en have, en terrasse og en restaurant samt gratis privat parkering. The owner is super kind, she adapted the menu to my dietary requirements and made me the most amazing tortilla in Sumatra, she also took me to town on her motorbike to start the bike loop around the lake. Everything was so easy and smooth, they have all the info you need to know to enjoy your time at the lake. She also arranged my transfer to Padang. The massage they offer is also worth trying it. Last but not least, the views from the cottage are incredible!

Very recommend all tours and activities available on offers, surfing, trekking, visiting islands, fishing trips and even baby turtles cleaning treatment, lovely Authentic fisherman’s village around the Ricky beach a must se.

Air Manis Hillside Villa Cafe & Resto ligger i Padang, 16 minutters gang fra Pantai Air Manis Strand, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. View over the sea from the property is great. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Shower area very clean and well designed and installed (it really stood out in this regard, relative to other properties we stayed while in Indonesia). Beds and towels are clean. We want to give particular commendation to operational manager Herwin, who was of great assistance to us every time!

So much care and attention has been given to the rooms, which are super spacious, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. A highlight was sitting out on the verandah in early evenings, with a cold drink, watching the river. The bed and pillows are incredibly comfy; the bed linen and towels good quality too. We stayed 2 nights and would very happily have stayed longer, had time allowed. Most people use it as an overnight stop before/after going to the Banyaks, but if you have time and a good book, it's a great place to press pause and rest a few days too.

The place is great, but the people who run it make it excellent. We were still figuring and changing our plans often and they were very helpful and patient. The food Megan makes is one of the best I've had in Indonesia, ask if she can wip up a tempe bowl and you won't be disappointed. The place is clean, fun, cozy and all you need.

Panorama Seulako ligger i Sabang, 2,2 km fra Pantai Iboih Strand, og har en have, et privat strandområde og et fælles opholdsområde samt gratis privat parkering. We loved it so much we stayed for 5 extra days! You cannot beat this location. The snorkeling just in front of the bungalows is some of the best on the island. The rooms are simple and yes ours didn’t have a sink but it didn’t really phase us. The owners are lovely and very helpful.
