Richie & Lynn were fantastic hosts with great knowledge of the local area which was very helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, breakfast was spot on for a continental one with plenty of options. Able to use washing machine & dryer was an added bonus. We had dinner at the Tomo (about 100m walk) where the hospitality and food was sensational!!

Our host and hostess were so helpful and made us feel at home. They even gave my daughter ( the bride to be ) some bubblebath to help her relax, and they bought a new iron and ironing board cover to help us get ready for the wedding day. The accommodation was large enough for all our guests and the rustic look was perfect in the photo's.

Great location, Clo on reception was lovely and super helpful with planning our time in Taupo/Rotorua, we had the best time and enjoyed coming back to our cosy little room and cooking dinner in a well organised and clean kitchen area.

Where to being with Jen and Dowie? They organised a shuttle for me from Hobbiton, saved me from spending an extortionate amount on taxi fare. They are so passionate about the beautiful home they’ve built. It was such a pleasure spending time with them both. I even cooked a Palestinian meal for them. We shared stories, thoughts and opinions. Book for an incredible, beautiful rustic stay at the House With No Nails, but also to spend time with these two wonderful souls.

Cozy, relaxing, and placed in a quiet and private setting. Just what we needed after such a hard few days. Surprisingly, it is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside with high ceilings. We love older homes, and there was so much character. A winner with all of us 😊 The morning train was awesome as well👌 👏 Thank you so much for being great hosts! We hope to visit again one day soon!
