The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.

Wonderful hotel, just a few minutes walk from the peace museum. We enjoyed the spacious room, the bath floor was lovely and the staff was kind and helpful. There is an happy hour that we a nice surprise- free drinks and snacks.

It was a fantastic, truly authentic place to stay. My partner and I were hesitant as we'd never been to Japan or stayed in a ryokan, however the old wood had the aroma of a sauna, the beds were comfy, the lighting, decoration and interior design were all fantastic.
