Courtenay
One of Vancouver Island’s most comfortable and welcoming stay experiences, the Old House Hotel has it all: location; spacious, individually designed suites; inviting amenities such as kitchenettes and fireplaces; full-service spa; Locals Restaurant four-star dining experience; and “boutiquey” extras. It was fabulous, staff were amazing and the apartment was exceptional. One of our favourite places to stay on our trip to Canada
Courtenay
The spacious guest house has a cable flat-screen TV. The kitchen is fitted with an oven, a microwave and a toaster and there is a private bathroom with a hair dryer and free toiletries. The property has an outdoor dining area. Very Cool One bedroom suite. Super clean. Private and had a Private cute yard in front. I had no problem with Spiral Staircase to bedroom. There Was a room with two big beds for 4 person of a family. We had full amenities in kitchen, With a fridge which our land lord/lady left berries, yogurt, muffins, Coffee Cream. We didn't use outdoor hot tub, afraid of september weather. Never hear a bark from a dog ( others mentioned). Situated in a nice nieghberhood.Recomended.

Everything was perfect, it’s clear that every little detail had been thought out and we really enjoyed our stay! The spa was perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring!!
Bathroom was a little small but the shower was lovely. Beds were very comfortable and loved all the soft, comfy pillows. Attendant on arrival was very friendly and helpful. Showed us to our rooms and made us feel welcome. Attendant when checking out asked how our stay was and was very friendly. Dogs were welcome and the grassy space outside our room was appreciated.
Location was good. Beds were clean and bathroom was clean. Dishes and kitchen were useful. Adjoining rooms provided a spacious place and a living room with a clean comfortable sofa was appreciated.
To start, the location was pretty bang on, too bad it was raining a lot so we couldn't walk too much around the area. The staff was super nice from the start, check-in was very good, very polite and friendly staff which made it super easy. The room was big, comfy and very clean, with some coffee. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to use the pool or the bathtub, but we went to the spa, which was incredible. The restaurant, Local, is incredible, amazing food. We are definitely coming back.
Spacious room, comfortable bed, accessories Exceptionally helpful and friendly front-desk staff Pool and hot tub
The room was very clean and the bathroom was larger then most for this type of hotel. Breakfast was plentiful with many options and the yogurt was in individual sealed cups with multiple flavors (like the good ol' days 🙂). I have been on a road trip and stayed at 6 other hotels across BC similar to this one and the Bayview is the best overall. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The pool and hot tub were clean and working. I didn't use the pool slide 😉 so can't comment but it looked to be open for use.
Fantastic stay in Courtenay! A great hotrl and a nice room! If we had wished the pool and hot tub were still open. Good parking and a restaurant very close by with excellent food! Beds were comfy and the room quiet and spacious. Very friendly people at the reception, too - thanks, Maria, for the recommendations!
